PRESIDENT MUSEVENI DIRECTS MIN.OF FINANCE TO REINSTATE PS GERALDINE SSALI

President Yoweri Museveni has reinstated Geraldine Ssali as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.
In a letter dated 26th October 2023, the president tasked the secretary to the treasury Ramaqthan Gobi to with immediate effect return Ssali as the accounting officer of the ministry of Trade.
Ssali was of recent dropped from this position after a parliament trade committee report faulted her for abuse of office and misappropriation of funds among others.
The move by President Museveni to return Ssali has caused mixed reactions questioning the fate of Parliament’s recommendations.
