Oystercatchers Feeding at Sunset

Our local pair of American Oystercatchers feed on the shoreline at sunset. They are beach nesters and Florida has listed them as a threatened species as numbers decline due to human encroachment. Florida beaches have become so crowded, that some American Oystercatchers have chosen to nest on gravel rooftops.
