A presumably German student at the University of Waterloo tried Dr. Defaming Norman Finkelstein after his lecture on the situation of the Palestinians for allegedly insulting Jews and Germans.

Dr. However, Norman Finkelstein is himself Jewish; his parents were in concentration camps. Every single member of his family was "exterminated" by the Nazis and the lesson he draws from this is that no people in the world should experience this suffering again, which is why he vehemently draws attention to the existential threat to the Palestinians.
