Maurice Clemmons (February 6, 1972 – December 1, 2009) was identified as the shooter in the November 29, 2009 murder of four police officers in Parkland, Washington.

Mark James Robert Essex was an American serial sniper and black nationalist known as the "New Orleans Sniper" who killed a total of nine people, including five police officers.

Mixon shot and killed two police officers of the Oakland Police Department during a routine traffic stop.

On November 22, 1994, a street thug named Bennie Lawson was concerned about his reputation among fellow gang members. He had been questioned by police about his role in a triple murder and the word on the street was that Lawson was cooperating. He had been labeled a "snitch," and to Lawson that was a fate worse than death. So, in an effort to clear his name, he walked into the "Cold Case Squad" office at D.C. Police Headquarters and opened fire without saying a word.

On July 7, 2016, 25-year-old Micah Xavier Johnson targeted and ambushed a group of police officers in Dallas, Texas, shooting and killing five officers.
