Sometimes great needs come up simultaneously. Determine which one is more vital.

When these issues arise, needs have to be met. In certain circumstances, one person will say that their need is greater than yours, and that may be true. However, there are other times when your need is greater than theirs. Therefore it has to be met before you can help anyone else. Sadly, some will play the "Christ-like living" card to have their need met before yours. If your need is the fire presented in the scenario, meet your need first, then help them. They can wait. Otherwise, you won't be able to be as helpful as they hope you will be.
