I-75 back open in southwest Detroit for now
7 years ago
All lanes of I-75 are back open at Clark St. after crews worked to demolish part of a bridge that was damaged after a crash. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the Junction St. bridge is dangerous and they will eventually tear down the bridge. It was determined to be dangerous after a crash on Tuesday. MDOT will begin reducing lanes of I-75 northbound at Livernois around 7:30 p.m. Thursday and I-75 northbound at Livernois will be completely closed by 9 p.m. Thursday night. It will not be a full tear down of the bridge, according to MDOT, but instead 1/4 to 1/3.
