Israel bans UN Secretary-General into the country following ‘vacuum’ comment

Sky News Senior Reporter Caroline Marcus says Israel is calling for the resignation of UN Secretary-General António Guterres after he said the attacks on Israel didn’t happen in a vacuum.

On October 7 Israel declared war on the Palestinian terrorist group after Hamas fired thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv.

“Israel is rightly calling for the resignation and saying they won’t let UN officials into the country if they don’t apologise and take back these comments,” Ms Marcus told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“There is no justification for Hamas militants ripping out an unborn baby from a pregnant woman’s stomach, beheading that baby and then beheading the mother.

“We have now learnt from Israel authorities this is one of the many, many abhorrent attacks that were carried out on October 7.”
