Brace For Impact: October BLIZZARD?

Uh-oh. October snow is not unheard of but this looks like a monster even for winter. All hands to stations! Prep for collision! Yet as bad as a possible 5"+ of snow NOW may be, Powder River County isn't getting the worst of it.
Unsure who is; a routine check of old home base Helena where friends reside had me holding their beer. They have an official Winter Storm Warning with double the forecast snow amounts ... and the first time I noted "travel may be difficult if impossible" line in the NWS statement. Yikes.
Time to place the bets. On the ultimate local impacts that play out in reality although nobody is going against the National Weather Service's general forecast that it's going to be ugly.
