Classic Game Design is CRUSHING Modern Gaming

Not to get TOO heavy on the Modern Gaming hate train, but I can't help but notice that despite a lot of insistence that certain Modern Gaming trends are the way to go, there's a number of notable games that have firmly leaned toward some designs and decisions we saw much more commonly in gaming days gone by. Not only are these more Classic leaning games doing just fine, they are, quite frankly, dominating.

Let's look at some prominent examples of these trends of classic game design stomping modern gaming into the dirt.
