The Perseverance Mars rover is a robotic explorer developed by NASA as part of its Mars 2020 mission. Launched on July 30, 2020, the Perseverance rover landed successfully in Mars' Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021. The rover's mission is to explore and conduct scientific research to help scientists better understand the geological processes of Mars, seek signs of past life, collect samples for possible return to Earth, and pave the way for human exploration of the planet.
