In 1996, the legendary German guitarist Manuel Göttsching - known for both his work at Ash Ra Tempel and his solo career, with some albums released under the name Ashra - released a series of recordings never released before dating from 1970 to 1979. Among them are Ash Ra Tempel's totally improvised live recordings, Ashra's live and studio recordings, with some guest musicians, and studio recordings made only by Göttsching himself, some of which were used for radio broadcasting RIAS from Berlin. There is also a track from Steeple Chase Bluesband, band that Göttsching and his partner Hartmut Enke were part of before forming Ash Ra Tempel with Klaus Schulze. In other words, a series that deserves a lot of attention from krautrock fans with a lot of gems that have been practically forgotten over time.
