It's a chaines burger recipe 🍔
To make a classic Chinese-style burger, also known as "Rou Jia Mo," you'll need the following ingredients and instructions:
Ingredients:
For the Pork Filling:
1 lb (450g) ground pork
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon five-spice powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup water
For the Burger Buns:
4 Chinese-style flatbreads or burger buns
Oil for frying
For Toppings (Optional):
Sliced cucumbers
Sliced green onions
Sliced lettuce
Sliced chilies (if you like it spicy)
Instructions:
In a large skillet or pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger and sauté for a minute or until fragrant.
Add the ground pork to the skillet and cook until it starts to brown. Break up the meat into small pieces while cooking.
Once the pork is browned, add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, five-spice powder, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
Add the water to the pork mixture and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
While the pork filling is simmering, you can prepare your toppings, like slicing cucumbers, green onions, lettuce, and chilies.
Split the Chinese-style flatbreads or burger buns in half and lightly toast them in a separate pan or on a grill.
Once the pork filling is cooked and the buns are toasted, assemble your Chinese-style burgers. Spoon a generous amount of the pork mixture onto the bun, and add your desired toppings.
Serve your Chinese burger hot and enjoy!
