The US Air Force lost an F-35 stealth fighter jet in South Carolina in September. This was the 8th crash of the world’s costliest jet.

The UK, South Korea, Japan, US Navy and US Marine Corps have also reported crashes of the jet.

At least 11 other accidents have also occurred with the F-35. Every time there is an accident or a crash, the entire F-35 fleet is grounded and rendered useless.

What does this mean for the future of the stealth fighter jet. Will the US and NATO allies continue investing more money in the F-35 or will they opt for cheaper options like the F-15?
