This is occurring as Iran aims to exploit the regional backlash against US support for Israel. These militia groups have already carried out several drone attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria.

The US now possesses specific intelligence suggesting that these same groups may intensify their activities, particularly in light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

US officials have expressed great concern, with one stating, “red lights flashing everywhere,” in the region, CNN reported.
