A collection of supposedly Scythian gold worth 60 million euros for sale on the black market was seized from two Ukrainians and three Spaniards in Madrid

Spanish police have seized 11 gold items of “great historical and economic value” from criminals, dismantling “a criminal network that was involved in the illegal export of cultural property,” Spanish police said.

The Larazon newspaper claims that the jewelry was smuggled out of Ukraine in 2016, and to whitewash its origin, it was accompanied by documents in Ukrainian, English and Spanish confirming its affiliation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Let us recall that in the summer the Netherlands Museum approved the transfer to Ukraine (https://t.me/zvezdanews/120931) of about two thousand objects from the collection of Scythian gold, which was taken from Crimea for an exhibition at the Allard Pearson Museum in Amsterdam in 2014, before the reunification of the peninsula with Russia.
