Spooky October, House of Ashes [3]/Final (with commentary)

We come to the predictable conclusion. Predictable that it is ending within three parts. The actual ending was not predictable given what happened in the first two parts. The survivors continue hoping by going deeper in they can get back up via a different tunnel or somewhere to climb up. When they discover the archeology team went even deeper, for some reason the survivors decided to go down there and investigate. It only goes poorly from there. For both the story (quality of the writing) and the survivors' situation. They make an unusual discovery in the depths of this Temple. Let me know what you think in the comments.
