Artillery units of the Western Military District continue to carry out fire missions to destroy artillery batteries of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, ammunition depots, camouflaged defensive structures, command posts, enemy fire weapons, and military equipment, using frequent tactics changing firing positions. Multiple rocket artillery is also used for barrage fire along routes of possible enemy retreat or advance. The shock wave and fragments, which fly hundreds of meters, destroy identified firing positions and fortifications.

Accurate targeting plays an important role in delivering a strike. The artillerymen are assisted in this by crews of unmanned aerial vehicles. The collected data is promptly transmitted to field headquarters and commanders of rocket artillery batteries. Crews of combat vehicles are on duty around the clock. Tasks require quick response and maximum concentration.

Mutual assistance helps military personnel endure all the difficulties and dangers of military work. They fire 122 high-explosive fragmentation shells which cover a huge area with powerful fire. Adjustment of fire on targets and control of battery damage were carried out by artillery reconnaissance units using UAVs.
