Trucks carrying humanitarian aid have arrived in Gaza for the first time since the latest Israel-Palestine conflict began, thanks to a brief opening of the border crossing with Egypt. According to Egyptian media, just 20 trucks made it into Gaza, but hundreds more are positioned near the border awaiting entry, with more convoys expected.

Over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza are currently rationing food and have no clean drinking water, while hospitals say they are running low on medical supplies, and even fuel for their emergency generators amid an area-wide blackout.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari confirmed that a limited number of trucks had been granted passage into Gaza, but warned that Israel would block any further aid if it suspected it had gone to Hamas fighters.
