Annual Event Raises $10,000 For Hospice

Food, beer and fun raises money for Hospice of The Eastern Upper Peninsula.

Recently the annual “Battle of The Breweries,” fundraising event was held at The Wicked Sister Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie.

The restaurant prepares a special four-course meal, that the two breweries must then pair their beers with. Ticket holders then vote for their favorite pairings.

This year saw the defending champs, Barrel & Beam of Marquette losing to Biere De Mac from Mackinaw City, with nearly $10,000 raised for Hospice of The EUP.
