Pool Cage Repairs Recommended

The county says if more than 25 percent of your cage is damaged, you will need to get a building permit. The Emergency Management team in Collier County are urging residents to make repairs a top priority. Officials say the damage is a safety issue because those cages are needed to help prevent children from drowning. The chances of a child wandering in a pool are more likely to occur. In the meantime you are urged put up a temporary safety mesh. Fines will be issued to residents that do not get their pool cages fixed immediately, the County said.
