Massive Explosion in Beirut,Lebanon

On August 4, 2020 at 18:08, an explosion occurred in the port of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. 218 people were killed in the disaster, over 7,000 were injured, many were missing and enormous damage was caused to the Lebanese capital. The explosion was two-stage and took place in a warehouse containing 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate, which was confiscated in 2014 from a ship that had to dock in the port.
