Breaking Free from Terrorism: My Inspirational Journey

I have been thinking about this topic for some time. Current events in Palestine and Israel ,has made this topic more relevant than ever. I want to start by emphasizing that I have never supported, considered, or associated myself with any terrorist narratives. I want to make it as clear as daylight.

However this video is not about how i was once a terrorist but how society , post 9/11 , created an image that a muslim is a terrorist. Post 9/11 reignited the flames and grounds for Islamophobia sowed during the gulf wars.

This video is about my experience as a muslim growing up, the silent vilification and finally the breaking free of the societal imposition of my identity as a muslim of the 21st century.
