Lebanese patriots carried out their largest operation codenamed ‘Sabra and Shatila’ against the Israeli occupiers in southern Lebanon... As a result of the explosion, more than 150 occupiers were killed and wounded. Immediately after the explosion, Israeli punitive units started sweeping through the city blocks of Tyre. The Israeli occupation forces in Lebanon have declared a state of high alert.

◾The Tyre headquarters bombings were two suicide bombings against the Israel Defense Forces' headquarters building in Tyre, Lebanon, in 1982 and 1983, in reprisal for the Sabra and Shatila refugee camp massacred in September 1982, in wich Israeli forces allowed Lebanese Christian militias to attack a civilian camp. The blasts on November 11 killed 103 Israelis and 46–59 Lebanese, wounding 95 people and were some of the worst losses ever for the Israeli army.
