Gaza's Dilemma: Statehood and Arab Concerns

Amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, both of Israel's neighboring countries, Egypt and Jordan, have declined to accept Palestinian refugees. Despite Jordan already hosting a significant Palestinian population, they have taken a firm stance against accepting additional refugees. Egyptian President has stated that the conflict is not only aimed at combatting Hamas but also seems to have the objective of encouraging civilian inhabitants to migrate to Egypt. King Abdullah II of Jordan conveyed a similar message, saying, 'No refugees in Jordan, no refugees in Egypt.'
