The Best Keto McGriddle Clone - Taste Like The Real Thing - only 4g net carbs

Pre-keto, not a week went by that I didn't eat a couple of McDonald's McGriddle breakfast sandwiches. The McGriddle seems to be the holy grail of keto. Unfortunately, I haven't seen anyone really hit both the taste and the texture of a real McGriddle. Until now.

Also, I have probably already tried any suggestion people might have for the "maple crystal bursts" without success. I have a few more ideas taken from the world of molecular gastronomy, but they are going to take some experimentation...

In the video, I split the dough into six pieces (for 6g net carbs per serving). I have since found that the buns still expand to almost the same size when you divided the dough into eight pieces. This takes the net carbs down to just 4g for two buns. The recipe link below reflects this update.

I've been tweaking this recipe for the last couple of months, so before you ask about substitutions, the answer is a hard "no". Now, if you're a bacon McGriddle fan, you can certainly use bacon instead of sausage. But aside from that, if you want this to taste like a McGriddle, I strongly encourage you to make it exactly as I do. Recipe and macros below...
