Short silent film produced by the Pathé Frères studio, in a second adaptation of Charles Perrault's short story.

In Capellani's film, the cat is also played by an actor dressed as a feline, but with a much more elaborate costume and a greater sense of staging than the first film adaptation of Perrault's work. (https://youtu.be/8uFxOzyaHRo)

Long forgotten, Capellani is today considered one of the greatest pioneers of cinema, with the first film adaptations of the great literary classics.
