Day in the life of a Broadcast Engineer- my "real job". Do I climb up those giant radio towers?

I get asked all the time: "What do you do for a living?" I'm a Broadcast Engineer. In short: I design, build, and maintain broadcast (radio and TV) stations. Been doing this since I was 16. My degree is in electrical engineering, but very little of that education prepares you for this! Especially when it comes to RF, AM directional arrays, audio, etc. That is instinct and experience. I owe much of my experience, education, and opportunity to Alan Graft, Rich Green, Bill Jeffries, Tony Barroga, Knox LaRue Sr., and Rick Hunt.
