A Silent Moment

Heart To Heart! Life is busy! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like I don’t even have time to spit! My mom used to say that to me, encourage me to slow down because she said it seemed like I did not even have time to spit. I am in motion all the time. I don’t take much time off for me.

I am up really early in the morning, that is my me and God time and that is non negotiable, I love it and I love spending time with Him. But, very rarely is it silence. During times such as these, our soul finds itself in a lot in noisy chaos. Our culture is very, very chaotic right now and it seems like to me, people are more angry than ever before. Wouldn’t you agree?! There is not much silence to be found and not much compassion or kindness.

I know that for my mental and spiritual health, I need to replenish my soul. But there is always this next project, this next thing to do. I know that God puts things on my “plate” and I usually know them, the things He tasks me to. But I also know that I put a lot on my plate that should not be there. So I get over busy. I definitely can tell when my soul needs a break, when I need to replenish! What’s funny is, so can everyone else tell when I need a break. I get tired and cranky.

Lately I have been building a what I call “sabbath break” into my busy life schedule! Isn’t it funny that we have to “schedule” a break. Oh, that shows my need for change. But, these breaks that I have been faithful to take, they have really helped me to replenish my soul.

This video was one of those breaks where I had some “silent” time for my soul. It was sweet. Silence is something we very rarely leave room for in our lives. In fact, silence is uncomfortable for us and when we have a silent moment, we do something to fill it, because it feels awkward. But, lately I am getting used to my “silent” moments that I have been taking and I can tell you, it really does replenish my soul. I did to realize how much I needed the “silence”. So enjoy this 1 Minute Encouragement Video on “A Silent Moment”. And I encourage you to get your calendar out and schedule in a “silent moment” for your soul. You will be so glad you did. God bless ya.
