Oakland County officials are working to clear roughly 200-million dollars

The plan is a joint effort between the county and non-profit RIP Medical Debt. Two-million dollars from the American Rescue Plan is being used to buy up medical debt at a fraction of the total cost. Roughly a hundred-thousand Oakland County residents could be impacted by the county's effort.
