STATEMENT FROM THE U.K. Department of Media, Culture and Sport:

We are working flat out to support our world class performing arts sector through challenging times. Our unprecedented £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund builds on £200 million in emergency public funding and will support organisations of all sizes across the country, including theatres. Indoor performances in front of a socially distanced audience can now take place and we're delighted to hear that, in addition to venues that have already opened such as The Bridge Theatre, Nimax and the National Theatre plan to open their doors again next month. We are continuing to work with the industry on proposals for how full audiences might return.
