Detroit mayor to unveil plan to lower Michigan auto insurance rates

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan will unveil his plan to help lower auto insurance rates in the state of Michigan. Duggan has teamed up with Rep. Lana Theis, chair of the Michigan House Committee on Insurance and House Speaker Tom Leonard for the bipartisan effort. The announcement will happen Tuesday morning at the capitol, and right now, details about the plan are scarce. A press release said they will announce "comprehensive reforms that create rate relief and greater choice on coverage options for Michigan drivers.
