Clip 59 - How Could Israel Have Missed The Attack!?!

I'm not trying to be conspiratorial or anything, I'm just asking obvious questions here that I think people want answers to.
If you know anything about Israel's military and intelligence forces, you know they have some of the most advanced surveillance systems in the world. Israel is surrounded on all sides by countries that hate them and want to wipe them off the face of the earth. They know this, and so they have a surveillance network like no other in the world which is always watching, always listening, always monitoring.
The border with Gaza is just a 45 minute helicopter ride from Jerusalem and the boarder is completely fenced and guarded entirely by Israeli military. The boarder has state of the art surveillance systems all along it as well and nothing happens at that boarder without Israel knowing about it.
With all of this in mind, you now want me to believe Hamas was able to plan an operation that required hundreds and hundreds of soldiers, months of training in multiple countries, cars, trucks, boats paraglides, all executing a coordinated attack on over a dozen targets and Israel had no clue it was coming? I don't buy it for a single second.
This was either the largest systematic failure in modern military surveillance, even though they catch and stop one off terrorist all the time, or there's something else, more sinister going on right now and the mainstream media is ignoring some obvious holes in the story.
I'm not here to accuse and say it was some sort of plan, but I am saying it looks very suspicious that this was on no ones radar, pun intended.
