2 Corinthians 11:31–12:9, Luke 6:31–36
We shouldn’t say that we’re “trying” to be good. We are becoming good. Jesus says in today’s Gospel we are “children of the Highest.” This is the proper way to see ourselves. We will act accordingly, if we believe it — if not all at once, then more and more all the time.
