We are continuing our Review of the Book “Why I Believe” By Pastor Chip Ingram. I will not be fully recapping previous episodes, but I will add these episodes to a playlist that I will link at the end of this video along with a link to Pastor Ingram’s video for you to review.

In the last episode we were discussing the resurrection of Jesus. Pastor Ingram in Chapter 1 of his book “Why I Believe” began giving us 7 reasons why we should believe the Jesus of the Bible was an actual historical figure who literally died and was raised again. In chapter 1 he gives us the first 4 reasons
Reason 1 The Historicity of Jesus of Nazareth
Reason 2 The Character of Jesus is Unquestioned
Reason 3 The Works f Jesus Went Unchallenged
Reason 4 The Identity of Jesus was Confirmed

In Chapter 2 Pastor Ingram is going to give us the 3 remaining reasons.

(Note: I am going through this book just like you would, and I must confess at this point I don’t know why Pastor Ingram split these reason like this. I am not an author but if I were writing this book personally; I would have either covered all 7 reasons in one chapter or dedicated a chapter to each reason and would be making more robust arguments for each reason. Part 2 of this series was 1 hour and 5 minutes long. I added a lot of my own reasoning following his outline because I agree with Pastor Ingram. The resurrection is such an important thing that if we are not rock solid on that then any other argument for our faith is pointless.)

There are those that have said that Jesus didn’t really die and that his death and resurrection were faked by his disciples. Some like Author Dan Brown who is famous for his book “The Davinci Code” took this idea and wrapped it in a fiction that Jesus survived the cross and married Mary Magdalene and had children by her.

In this video we are going to explore the question did Jesus REALLY die? After all if we are putting all our faith in the resurrection of Christ it is hard have a resurrection if there was never a death.
