More than 40 Palestinians were killed in the 13th day of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, according to reports. Nine people, including seven children, were killed when jets struck a house in Khan Younis, the Palestinian Wafa news agency reported. More than 30 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli air strikes in Rafah in the southern Gaza, Al Jazeera reports citing eye witnesses.
Reports say that Israel intensified its bombing over different parts of the Gaza Strip after midnight, with Rafah being the most heavily targeted. Israeli warplanes have fired several missiles at four residential towers in the al-Zahra area in the central Gaza Strip destroying them completely. In Khan Younis neighborhood in southern Gaza, 11 residential buildings were destroyed, resulting in casualties, reports say.
Meanwhile, Israel’s police chief said there will be “zero tolerance” for pro-Palestinian protests, threatening to send anti-war demonstrators to Gaza
