Is this Why People Are Against Homeschooling??

Whether we intend to or not, by not sending our kids to school, that's the message that a lot of public school families receive. I mean, if school is good enough for their kids, why isn't it good enough for ours? Similar to parents who choose to send their kids to private school.

I think maybe this is why there's so much criticism about homeschooling from public school families. Not because there's really anything wrong with homeschooling (and not because they really care what we do with our kids even if homeschooling WAS that bad). But because of how our decision to homeschool indirectly makes it seem like we think public school is a poor choice. And maybe we do think that, at least for our own kids. That's why we homeschool. But it doesn't mean we're looking down on parents who make different choices.
