Synopsis:
Back-to-school season is apparently also back-to-charging season because we’ve seen a real uptick in EV charging brands reaching out to our channel. Over the next few weeks (maybe months?!) we’ll be sprinkling in various installation & review videos to hopefully educate consumers regarding the 3rd party market. Check out our EV Charging playlist to see if any of the brands show up on your wish list.

AutoBot peaked our interest for a few reasons: 1) The brand name is not a string of random capitalized letters on Amazon, 2) Customer support is well-reviewed, 3) the unit advertised over-the-air updates, 4) low price @ $300, 5) a non-app version is available, and 6) the unit advertises a full 48-amp charging rate. For those looking for a cheap, simple, reliable charging option without your phone, we think this could be a great option for you.

Installation was straightforward and the components seem to be quality. We'll keep you posted if anything goes awry! Laced within the technical instruction are recommendations and points of professionalism employed daily by Jefferson Electric masters, journeymen, & apprentices.
