Leaving your kids or pets in a hot car can be deadly. Even on a mild day, the temperature inside a car can rise quickly, reaching dangerous levels in just minutes. Heatstroke is a serious medical condition that can cause seizures, organ failure, and even death.

If you see a child or pet locked in a hot car, call 911 immediately. You can also try to break a window to reach the child or pet, but be careful not to injure yourself.
