Wildewood Cat Colony Hunter & The Gang

I am pleading with the public for help with Wildewood Cat Colony as most of you know the feeding station/house where Wildewood Cat Colony has been living for the past 2 years is now up for sale. I took over caring for these cats back in March 11, 2022 and have been caring for them every since. 26 of the kitties have been spayed and neutered as we are nearing the completion of that huge milestone with 5-7 left to be spayed and neutered. I do more then just feed them I put my heart into these kitties as they get most of my time during the day and night. I would like to provide for them a storage building. I had once thought about trying to relocate the colony to my backyard and come to the conclusion of how dangerous it would be to bring them over as some of the kitties would not stay due to the 2 aggressive cats Tom and Loki in my backyard that came from the WCC and then you have to think about the ones that would not stay and would cross the street just to eat. This road is too dangerous for any animal to be crossing the street. A neighbor that lives across the street next to the feeding station has offered to share her property with the colony as she knows how important these babies lives and well being. This is a very short relocation and will indeed work. I am positive it will get them away from the house entirely and they will take to the neighbors yard next door

The plans are get a storage building preferably wood with shingles as I have found out with the metal carport that is at the feeding station the noise from rain or severe weather scares the kitties. We want to make it cat friendly with runner shelves inside of course and outer runner shelves for there safety outside if they have to get away from a predator like dogs, which is one of the main issues. We want to add several kitty doors throughout the building. a couple of cat tree houses. One tree house has already been donated Blankets have been donated. If we can get this building up and going before this house sells it will give me a better chance to get them used to the situation.

Until I can find a rescue that will actually work with taking in the many that are ready for homes. As we have seen earlier this year when one of our local rescue organization took in Havarti, Silver, Sally, Twinkie, & Taz. They almost immediately found homes upon arriving at the door of the organization. Havarti was probably in there the longest around 3 to 4 months. I spend more time with these kitties as we all know this is very crucial to being a foster for any animal cause they need your time and attention. This building will also give me the chance to get most of them litter box trained in a enclosure. I am not trying to just keep these cats and be called a collector I am trying to find there forever homes and get them to safety and off the streets.
