Russian president Vladimir Putin is in Beijing to attend

the Belt & Road Forum.

Putin also held a bilateral meeting with Xi Jinping, where both leaders promised to deepen the existing ties between their countries.

Putin says external threats and conflicts are driving Moscow & Beijing closer together.

Meanwhile Xi wants to change the world order and hopes the debt-laden Belt & Road Initiative will help him fulfil his ambitions.
