The Chiang Mai Sunday Night Market and walking street is the best market in Chiang Mai for a lot of reasons. Chiang Mai Thailand is known for having the best markets in Thailand, but the Sunday Night Market is the best because it has tons of amazing Northern Thailand street food like Khao Soi and local sausage. The Sunday Walking Street in Chiang Mai also has a great selection of artisan crafts from local Thai villages and ethnic minority tribes in Thailand. The Sunday Night Market in Chiang Mai is also HUGE! Chiang Mai closes a large part of it's Old City right next to The Phae gate to put on the Sunday night market and Sunday walking street. In 2021, they've implemented Covid measures like temperature checks, require people to wear masks, and check in to the market.
