2023, the Indiana Northeastern Railroad hosted two very different steam locomotives on its rails. The headliner of the weekend was Nickel Plate Road 765, a large 2-8-4 Berkshire, which hauled an all-day excursion across three states from Edon, Ohio through the Northeastern corner of Indiana to Hillsdale, Michigan. Just a few miles away, Little River Railroad 110, the smallest standard gauge 4-6-2 Pacific ever built, was pulling a series of short specials between Coldwater and Quincy, Michigan. In this video we see both engines at work, with a particular focus on the 765 as it makes its long trek through the Midwestern countryside.
