A 13-year-old has been arraigned after allegedly threatening to shoot up a Warren middle school and kill a student.

The teen is charged with Making a Threat of Terrorism, a 20-year felony, and Making a School Threat, a one-year misdemeanor. A Macomb County judge has denied bond and ordered a mental health evaluation.

“My office has a zero tolerance policy for all school threats,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido in a press statement. “We affirm our commitment to safeguarding every student’s right to learn without the threat of violence.”

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 11.
