This turbine can be constructed for approximately $50, which is about half the price of a 120 watt solar panel. It will generate about 5 kWh more power daily. It requires just common materials that are readily available off the shelf or recycled, along with simple hand tools, and can be plugged into any suitable waterway without the need for earthworks.
