The Middle East was not always the way it is. During the 1970s many nations were far more Americanized than they are now. What changed? A lot of the change came from the radicalization of Islam and use of the faith as a mechanism of control.

The shame in what has happened is that people all bleed red and with only a few exceptions (brainwashed terrorists and tyrannical monsters) most people everywhere in the world simply want to live in peace. This leads to the big question: how do we get back there?
