During the Halloween season, it's important to remember that black cats are the most oppressed cat on the planet. Due to their association with bad luck, witches and all things occult related, these adorable little guys are often the most mistreated and shunned. Rescues often have trouble getting people to adopt black cats, despite them being some of the most fun and derpy companions on the planet. Clarence is a black cat who walked into my apartment during a rain storm while he was almost still a kitten. He's goofy. He's sweet. He's loyal. And there's a ton of other cute black cats out there just like him. Clarence thinks that #spookyseason is the perfect time to adopt a #blackcat for you and your family. Be safe out there and have a Happy Halloween!

Please spay and neuter your pets. And if you find a stray who isn't fixed, reach out to a local animal rescue and try to ensure that they are treated. Cat overpopulation is a horrible issue that hurts animals, humans and most importantly, our environment. Cats can make the most incredible companions and friends. But left alone in the environment, they are an invasive species. Their ability to breed rapidly, and ferocity combine to create a genuine problem for the areas around them. By helping to control feral populations, you can make a significant impact on the environment and in the end, climate change.
