One thing often overlooked by a lot of people who care for dogs is the lack of continuous training. A lot of people think that once your dog is trained they are forever trained and that is just not the case. Sit, stay, heel......all of your basic commands are a skill they have learned. Communication between you and your dog is a skill and a skill they will lose if you are not always working their skill. Being so sick I have been slacking in my almost daily training with the dogs and because of this I have to fine tune them back to where I want them to be.
