Israel has declared its northern border with Lebanon as "a closed military zone" after deadly clashes with Hezbollah.

Nine rockets were fired from Lebanon at Israeli territory on Sunday, with five of those being intercepted, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

People living in the area near the border have been ordered to stay near shelters.

In the meantime, Israel has gathered troops along the Gaza border, preparing for what the Israeli military calls a "coordinated" offensive, involving air, ground and naval forces.
Iran warned Israel of escalation if it fails to end aggressions against Palestinians, with its foreign minister saying other parties in the region were ready to act, the semi-official Fars news agency reports Sunday, according to Reuters.

"If the Zionist aggressions do not stop, the hands of all parties in the region are on the trigger," Hossein Amirabdollahian was quoted as saying.

Israel said over the weekend that it had eliminated Ali Qadi who "led the inhumane, barbaric October 7th massacre of civilians in Israel" and said "all Hamas terrorists will meet the same fate," the Israeli Defense Forces posted to social media over the weekend.

Howard Stoffer with the University of New Haven joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to break down the latest weekend developments on the Israel-Hamas war.
