Wild Raccoon Helps Itself To Cereal Treat, Leaves The Front Door Open Afterwards

Let’s face it, raccoons have a bad reputation for being the nastiest critters in the neighborhood. Along with foxes, skunks and bats, raccoons are considered to be the main carriers of the rabies virus and this is why people have been avoiding them like the plague for so long. Granted, not every raccoon is rabid, but you can never be too sure. This is why precaution is always necessary.

This family living in the Lake Tahoe area has a surprise visit from a wild raccoon. Thankfully, it’s the non rabid kind, and it’s a regular guest in this household. One day, a friend coming over to watch a game decided to film this wildling helping himself to a handful of fruit loops left for him near the front door.

The raccoon, also known as Mr. Coon, doesn’t hesitate to open the screen door and eat the fruity circles of cereal one by one. His tiny hands grab onto the kernels and slowly but surely he manages to eat all of the fruit loops, except for one. If you thought that that was rude, wait until he leaves the screen door open. We guess that the family members love his cute childlike face expression too much because his behavior is unworthy of food treats. He needs to be taught some manners.
