Every year I also visit one of the Christmas market in Austria. If you want to have a real experience, then you must visit the Christmas markets in Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.
The most visited and famous Christmas market is in Vienna, located in front of the Rathaus city hall. A large Christmas tree dominates the centre with dozens of surrounding stalls offering the full spectrum of seasonal offerings.
In recent years, I mainly visit Christmas market in Innsbruck. Christmas markets are located in various locations in the city center and are less crowded with tourists than Christmas markets like Vienna and Salzburg.
